My little girl turned 1 on January 11th.  I have to say that it was bitter sweet for both Bill and I, bitter because we just don’t want to accept that our baby girl is growing up so quickly, but sweet to see who she is becoming and how her personality is blossoming.  She is truly amazing and fun fun fun!!!    Well we had a BBQ for her actual birthday at our house with all her cousins and some friends.  On the following weekend we celebrated it again at Papi and Tita’s Casa (my parent’s house).  We all were taking so many pictures our Emma, she loves the camera, as soon as she sees the camera she says “eese” you guessed it, that how she says cheese.  The best part is the face she makes with it when she says it – TO CUTE!  My kids are just so animated!!  Andy was as well so excited to celebrate her birthday; birthdays are his thing right now.  He of course blew out the candles for her, what a big helper.

Above: So the story behind Emma's Picture is that I bought Emma a whole bunch of bows from my friend and great artist Camille.  As you can see I went a little crazy buying her bows.  Here she is wearing every single bow that I purchase in just one order.  I thought she looked like a little present gift wrapped just for us.  Smile

EMMA MONROE PARKER

Emma was born on a cold winter morning in Anchorage, Alaska on Jan 11, 2008 at 5:33 am.  She was 7lbs and 12 oz at 20 inches long.    She was born 3 weeks earlier than expected and thank God or she would of been a yet bigger baby - ouch!  The delivery went pretty smooth. However, the labor was a long one, I labored for two weeks until finally my water broke  on the night of the 11th at 2:30 in the morning.  After that everything went pretty fast and before you knew it she was out in this world with the rest of us.  I was blessed to have my mother present at the time whom I thought was not going to make it in time since I started to labor so early.    By the time little Emma got here everything was ready for her arrival, her nursery was complete and we had more than enough clothes for her, thanks to all of you guys who sent her gifts.  Most importantly, she had plenty of love waiting for her, especially from her big brother Andy who can't seem to get enough of her.  He showers her with kisses and lots and lots of love.  I can't seem to get a good picture of the both of them because he is always in her face kissing her, which is okay by us.  He has not once been jeoulous,  he just loves to tell everyone about her.    He is a great Big Brother and we are so very proud of our little boy!
